The day of memory of executed Norwegians
A great demonstration took place in Norway on the 17th of February in memory of all the Norwegians wich the Germans have executed. After 6 o'clock the streets in most of the town were almost empty, so also in Oslo the restaurants were practically empty. The same was the case with the theatres and cinemas. The National Theatre in Oslo was visited by 7 people only, and Oslo's most used bus service had after 6 p.m. only 108 passengers, when they usually have 20 000. During the night of the 17th of february brave norwegians have been out and painted black crosses on thge walls of the houses. (Original bildetekst).
