British beaufighters cripple whole enemy convoy off Norwegian coast. Flying through cloud down to sea level, Beaufighters of R.A.F. Coastal Command completely surprised a German convoy off the south coast of Norway on Saturday evening. One merchant vessel blew up after being set on fire, a cargo liner was hit with a torpedo and sinking. Two other vessels were blazing furiously while the rest of the convoy was wither on fire or damaged. One of the largest "strike" forces R.A.F. Coastal Command has put in the air, tokk part i the operation. It was comprised of Canadian, Australian, New Zealand and R.A.F. Squadrons.
