The first parade on Norwegian soil
In the beginning of november 1944 Norwegian troops paraded in a Norwegian town for the first time since 1940. It was Kirkenes who had the honour of seeing this first parade and this Picture was taken that historical day. Picture shows Norwegian troops marching into Kirkenes with the Norwegian flag in front. In spite of the cold and show the population of Kirkenes was out to give their countrymen a warm welcome.
